I am an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) level 2 practitioner, and I completed my training through AAMET, The Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques (www.aamet.org).

EFT works very well as a therapy in its own right, but it also compliments homeopathy beautifully.

EFT is a meridian therapy with roots in acupuncture, acupressure and kinesiology. It has evolved from psychologist Dr Roger Callahan’s Thought Field Therapy and developed in the USA by Gary Craig.

It is a gentle, quick, non-invasive technique, similar to acupuncture…but not using needles! We tap using our fingers to stimulate certain meridian points whilst the patient verbalises the problem. It aims at returning the mind, body and emotions of the person to a calm, balanced state, freeing them of negative emotions.

EFT works by removing the negative emotional component from a memory, whether it is grief, shock, post traumatic stress or any other memory that is holding the person back and keeping them in a stuck situation.

Working as a practitioner the power and strength of a negative emotion never ceases to amaze me. Emotions can weigh the patient down like excess baggage. EFT gently addresses the emotion, allowing the patient to move forward, feeling lighter and calmer.

EFT can help alleviate the symptoms of pain, headaches, insomnia, constipation or a problem where there is an emotional component adding to the physical symptom.

It can also help to alleviate the symptoms of grief, trauma, shock, fear, anxiety, phobias, confidence, low self esteem, and addictions…smoking, overeating, repetitive negative behaviour…and much more.
